In this 4 hour introductory course, expert EMDR trainer/consultant Elyse Harper, LMFT, strengthens and refreshes your knowledge and clinical implementation of EMDR therapy. She covers a range of issues that EMDR clinicians and consultants may often miss. Utilizing her years as a consultant and Basic Training coach/facilitator, Elyse addresses the impact of therapist ambivalence, treatment of dissociative disorders, complex presentations and issues that impact the results of EMDR therapy through the 8 phases.
Elyse clarifies EMDR and trauma terms, from simple to complex, along with various resources and protocols immediately applicable to clinical work. Utilizing multiple examples and a client video demonstration, Elyse will assist you in solidifying foundational EMDR skills that improve your effectiveness as well as support the learning and integration of advanced EMDR applications to complex cases.

As an experienced and skillful clinician and presenter, she also provides training for the University of Iowa National Resource Center on Family Centered Practice. She is the owner and trainer of Elyse Harper LLC.
