Overview & Objectives:
In this workshop, Elyse Harper, LMFT, an expert EMDR trainer, refreshes and enhances your EMDR therapy skills. She covers often-overlooked issues, including therapist ambivalence, dissociative disorders, and managing complex clinical cases across the eight EMDR phases. Elyse simplifies EMDR and trauma-related terms and provides practical resources and protocols for immediate application.
The course emphasizes practical skills with examples to solidify foundational knowledge and introduces strategies to overcome client resistance, especially in adolescents and adults. It's ideal for EMDR therapists seeking to strengthen their practice with difficult clients.

Identify common therapist pitfalls & barriers, such as avoidance when working with resistant clients.
Explain Key Trauma - related terminology & the Window of Tolerance for assessing client readiness
Analyze Client Readiness for EMDR by assessing dissociation and the need for resource installation.
