CIDP - CID/ATIP - The CPR of Psychological Trauma


CIDP course is designed to assist first person providers in de-escalating persons who may be out of their window of emotional tolerance, highly escalated or unable to manage the overwhelming thoughts and emotions that come with traumatic experiences or experiences that cause high emotional responses. This set of protocols assist the brain in moving past the present trauma to be more able to access the thinking/problem solving part of the brain and not be stuck in the emotional intensity or negative thoughts that accompany difficult situations. 

For use by first responders, emergency room personnel, residential workers, school personnel, teachers, counselors, advocates, case managers and anyone else working with highly emotional situations.

CE Information

You will be provided with a certificate of completion that most boards will accept for state licensure continuing education, no formal CEs are offered for this course. This is a crisis intervention that assists with emotion management and is not considered psychotherapy or trauma processing, although it helps with the window of tolerance and uses eye movements based on the research related to the reduction of emotionality and vividness of disturbing images.
